Millenium UpGrade

CLAMS will be upgrading to the new version of Millenium the Wednesday, March 4.

Presently, the new Millenium client has been loaded on all CLAMS machines, and for Tuesday, March 3, they should operate as they always do (though they may seem slower to load as this is a larger client). If you encounter any problems with circ on Tuesday, please let me know so that I can trouble-shoot with John and/or Steve.

WEDNESDAY, you will NOT be able to use Millenium at all until after 9am when CLAMS has finished updating on their end. From 8am until 9am, Steve Buss and I will be loading files and taking inventory on machines, as we need to update the hardware on a few stations. Hopefully, all will be up and running before my DH meeting at 9:30.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the size of the new Millenium, the two main circ computers will need to be upgraded (or possibly replaced) - Steve and I will be working to make that happen sooner rather than later. In the meantime, circ computers should be limited to one function at a time (meaning it will be hard to run Office or Open Office etc on them until they have more RAM).

If you have any questions, please ask.

Thanks!
