Boxes and Invoices

There may be some lingering confusion about boxes of books, invoices, packing slips, and so on, so just to clear up things....

If you open a box and the books /whatever are not yours, please leave EVERYTHING in the box for the person who placed the order.

Please do not take the invoices from someone else's box and give them to Carla - the invoice may not belong with Carla (or may need special instructions for Carla), as it could be an order from a gift, grant, or Friends donation.

Also, books coming in may need a Friend's book plate, a spine label (or label change), or some other genre labeling to be done by the person ordering the books. So, it's best just to leave everything in the box, even if the books "look" complete.

DVDs, music CDs, and audiobooks are the exception - I place the orders through Amazon, and the orders are already accounted for - and there is no invoice to go to Carla. Generally speaking, those items can be put right into processing - or they can be left for me to deal with.
