We are officially starting the Sort to Light at DPL. Everyone needs to be thinking about a system that works for them in terms of not getting items mixed up. It is going to make checking in items and the paging list faster and easier. We currently have only two volunteers doing bins and I will help them set up a station using the flat back cart and an empty bin. If you feel comfortable please go ahead and start. We do have the survey starting this Friday which kind of puts a cog in the wheel. I think we should all be on board by March 20th. This is after the survey but if you want to start now go ahead. Scan the barcode on the front of the book and then put it in the outgoing bin. If there is not a barcode on the front cover than you will still need to print out a slip. Key strokes make the process even faster. When you do not want to print the transit slip hit the key n.
