I have purchased my own Kindle 2015 version. It does work with the new 360 app for getting library books, but the following steps must be taken:
1.) Under settings, Go to Security and select "allow the installation of apps from Unknown Sources"
2.) Directly download the Axis 360 app because it isn't available on the Amazon App Store. The website you want to go to on the Kindle Fire Silk Browser is: apps.axis360.org/axis360 This will start a download of the Axis 360 app that the patron will be able to install once it's finished. It will show up on the notification bar which the patron can get to by placing his or her finger at the top of the screen then swiping down.
