YA Shelving

Tristan, the volunteer from Heaven, has been working his fingers to the bone fixing all of the cataloging and shelving errors in YA fiction, and moving YA non-fiction.

Please make your shelving volunteers aware of the following:

YA non-fiction will now be shelved (interfiled) in Adult Non-Fiction. YA non-fiction books will be spine-labeled with the Dewey number, and the book will also have the RED YA label on it. Please note that this YA sticker is for the PATRONS, and not the shelvers! People who shelve should be shelving by the spine label, and NOT the stickers.

YA fiction has all been correctly labeled (no more "jfic"!) and correctly located and iTyped in Millenium. YA fiction books will no longer be labeled with a red YA sticker, so again, shelvers will need to pay attention to the spine labels and not the stickers. YA spines will read YA FIC XXX or YA XXX (due to yet another BT error, that I may nor bother to correct).
