Circulation Policies

Due to a complaint from a patron that we appear to change our circ procedures to suit our whims, I am instituting Circulation Policies that will be clearly posted at the desks and included in the New Patron bags. Hopefully these policies will help cut down on the amount of "disgruntledness" especially during these busy summer months.

If a patron gives you a problem, please let me know immediately so that I can address their issue(s).

Circulation Policies...
...so that we may serve everyone in a timely and fair manner

Cards

To get a card you need:
Photo ID
Local Residency or Mass residency with another Mass library card
Parent’s signature if under 13

Please remember your card!
While we are happy to look you up (with ID), you will be LIMITED to 2 ITEMS if you do not have your card. If you need a replacement card, just let us know.

Visiting? No Card?
We have paperback Beach Reads (free to borrow, 25 cents to keep) and Friends Book Sale books, movies, and sometimes games for adults and children.

Item Limits

Adults - 30 items total per card
Children (under 13) - 20 items total per card

DVDs - 4 per card
Music CDs - 2 per card

Offline Item Limit
If the circulation computers are offline (due to storm, power outage, malfunction, etc) you will be LIMITED to 5 ITEMS. You may take out more items as soon as the circulation computers are back online. We apologize for the inconvenience.
