The Prodigious Printing Patron

Some of you may be aware of the situation that arose on Friday with Richard Stark. He is a man that comes in almost every day - chino pants, shaggy blonde hair, good looking. He always heads towards the computers. Lately he has been operating on the "non-Internet" computers, particularly the one closest to the Book Drop. Even though these are not Internet computers, he has managed to figure out away to get Internet access. On Friday, he printed out 140 pages, which we suspected he had no intention of paying. He has done this at the West Dennis library and here in the past. We took possession of the pages at the front desk, he came up to pay $5.00 - which in no way covered the amount he had printed ($28.00). He left without paying anything, saying he would be back today to go through his stack and make payment.

Today (Saturday) he did not appear. In preparation for him, however, I unplugged the "non-Internet" computers - hoping to put him off at least momentarily in case Zoe and I were too busy to see him come in. He is generally the only one who uses these computers. I have spoken to Jessica about him. He is no longer allowed to use the computers. If you see him, direct him to Jessica, who will explain the situation to him.

Thank you!
Cindy
