Thermostats

As everyone knows, the heating and cooling in this building is far from optimal. It's a constant battle that the DPW and I continue to work on.

One particular area of trouble is the meeting room. It is often too hot or too cold for patrons to be comfortable in during presentations. To that end...

Leaving the doors open between the meeting room and the library and the meeting room and the hall (while the room isn't in use) goes a long way towards regulating the temp. Morning people should be sure to open those doors every day.

YOU CAN CHANGE THE THERMOSTATS! You don't not need to have me do this. Ideally, the thermostat slider should be kept in the middle of the temp range (and the temp numbers mean NOTHING). However, sometimes the thermostats need to be moved up or down. There is a thermostat in the meeting room, children's room, on the wall near the genealogy alcove and the magazines, and on the east wall at the south end of the building (across from the book drop). The keys for the covers are on a pink tag in the key box.
