PIN will be needed on OverDrive Starting May 1st

Dear all,Beginning May 1st, CLAMS library patrons will need to use a PIN to login toOverDrive, regardless of whether they use their library card number or ausername.   

This will improve the functionality of the new OverDrive websiteand will allow for better security, and it is similar to the way otherlibraries and networks handle the login process.  A message regarding thischange has been included on the OverDrive website's account login page.
This was discussed with the library directors at the April 10th CLAMSMembership meeting, who concurred with the change. 

Since the My Account login on the CLAMS catalog already requires patrons touse a PIN when logging in, and this is pretty standard for many websites, wedon't expect this will cause problems for most people.  However, if yourpatrons question the change on the OverDrive site, you can tell them it isfor security reasons.
